Under the leadership of Dr. Nitin Deshpande, Shree Ramkrishna Netralaya in Mumbai recently organized an insightful Continuing Medical Education (CME) event focused on the latest advancements in refractive surgery solutions. The event attracted over 50 doctors from the city, eager to expand their knowledge of cutting-edge technology in the field of ophthalmology. With an emphasis on improving patient outcomes and enhancing surgical precision, the CME provided an excellent platform for professionals to discuss and learn about the most recent innovations in laser surgery and refractive correction techniques.

The highlight of the event was the session led by Dr. Kishore Pradhan, a renowned expert in the field, who shared his valuable experience with the SCHWIND ATOS femtosecond laser. He praised its advanced features, particularly its accurate centering, which minimizes the risk of decentration and prevents issues such as higher-order aberrations. Dr. Pradhan highlighted the improved lenticule geometry of SCHWIND ATOS, emphasizing how it is tissue-saving and results in less epithelial regrowth and regression compared to other lenticule extraction procedures. He further commended the laser's high accuracy, repeatability, and safety, noting that the stable suction and excellent lenticule dissection quality provide easy access and smooth extraction, making it a highly reliable tool for refractive surgery.
