As one of the latest generations of femtosecond lasers, SCHWIND ATOS is already gaining global momentum driven by market penetration across regions. Since installing ATOS #100 at beginning of the year, many more devices have been rolled out to the market and the good results from these centres are encouraging more surgeons to consider ATOS as their next laser of choice.
“SCHWIND continues to balance between launching innovative technologies and maintaining the highest quality standards. We had already managed to receive MDR certification for ATOS patient interfaces last year in December and by achieving certification for the femtosecond laser, we
can assert the fact that for us at SCHWIND, safety of our users is as important as the performance of lasers and the patient results”, says Mr. Domenic von Planta, CEO at SCHWIND.
The EU MDR is the set of regulations that governs the production and distribution of medical devices in Europe. Compliance with this regulation is mandatory for medical device companies (legal manufacturers) that want to market or sell their products in the EEA (European Economic Area). However, this certification is perceived as a benchmark of quality across the world.
We take this opportunity to thank all our customers who have shown trust in our technology and supported us in our journey of continuously innovating eye-care technology with utmost quality standards.
